Wedding Wednesday:Unknown Wedding ca. 1918

For one side of the family, even for the very old photos, Grandma drilled into me who the old folks were pretty well. On the other, however, I have many photos that are a mystery.  Maybe future photo recognition technology or further deduction will shed light on the past, but for now, the subjects of this photo remain, achingly, a mystery.

    OK Actually I think this photo is older than 1918. It was in a group of photos from that period, but I don’t think it belongs with the others. It’s still a mystery…

  2. I love this photo. I have tons of old wedding photos, all formal portraits. They are lovely in their way, but I love this casual shot. I think you’re on the right track with 1918, judging by the clothes. They are similar to hats and dress my grandmother was wearing in photos around that time. I think the style of dress on the woman to the right is the key. Also the man on the right looks like he is wearing a clerical collar. Good luck…
