For one side of the family, even for the very old photos, Grandma drilled into me who the old folks were pretty well. On the other, however, I have many photos that are a mystery. Maybe future photo recognition technology or further deduction will shed light on the past, but for now, the subjects of this photo remain, achingly, a mystery.

OK Actually I think this photo is older than 1918. It was in a group of photos from that period, but I don’t think it belongs with the others. It’s still a mystery…
I love this photo. I have tons of old wedding photos, all formal portraits. They are lovely in their way, but I love this casual shot. I think you’re on the right track with 1918, judging by the clothes. They are similar to hats and dress my grandmother was wearing in photos around that time. I think the style of dress on the woman to the right is the key. Also the man on the right looks like he is wearing a clerical collar. Good luck…
